Support Raising
When raising support, what you are doing is developing a team of people who are partnering with you in ministry. Therefore in Campus Crusade we use the phrase Ministry Partner Development (MPD) in referring to support raising.

The links below should provide all the information you’ll need for raising the necessary funds for your summer project.
1.) Step-by-step assistance in MPD is available online by using a new tool that will walk you through the support raising process and allow you to do everything online from creating and updating a database to designing a letter, to mail merging letters and labels, as well as tracking phone calls and thank yous. The address for this site is http://mpd.uscm.org . Use the same username and password that you used for your Summer Project application.
2. ) “MPD Bible Study” is a very useful for exploring the biblical basis for ministry partner development. You will find it enlightening and encouraging. To combat the lies the enemy will through at you as you develop your team of ministry partners, it is vital that you fill your mind with the truth of God’s word on this subject. Though this material refers specifically to WSN projects, it works for domestic projects as well.
3.) “MPD Strategy“, discusses more in-depth how to go about asking others to partner with you. This is more practical advice on how to go about raising funds. It include a sample letter, sample phone call scripts and other useful tips. Also, click here for a resource related to facebook and MPD.
4.) The Donation Information Form and instructions will help ensure your money for the summer is sent in and processed properly. Fill out both the top and the bottom portion of the Donation Information form and send it in with all you donations. Do not send in checks without this form. Thank you.

As stated in the Fact Sheet, the baseline cost of the project is $2,690. You will be expected to cover this baseline cost upon arrival at project. You can pay the cost of project yourself OR you can raise financial support to cover the baseline cost and additional expenses as noted below.
We strongly encourage you to raise support. It will build your faith as you see God provide. It allows others to be a part of your ministry, and it will enable you to save the money you earn on your job for school, conferences, etc.
Helpful resources for raising support can be found at http://mpd.uscm.org/. You can also ask your local Campus Crusade staff member for information and help. If you do not have a local staff member, please contact the Project Operations Director. You are expected to exercise ‘faith in action’ and do their due diligence in support raising. A vast majority of students who do so ultimately see God provide.
